It looks great! I don't really know what else they could have done with it, but awesome! Those short clips in the video were amazing. The actors alone will make this movie great. I just pray that it won't be shit.

That mask looks amazing! I can't really place what's so great about it, but I'm blown away. I'm almost positive this movie will be great... hopefully it doesn't disappoint like Prom Night or Rob Zombie's Halloween.

Most notable about this mask is that it looks weathered and worn, but it's missing the gash in the top from the climax of PART 3.

MexicanDave, Producer Brad Fuller has stated several times that the film will be rated R, and will feature plenty of hardcore gore, nudity, and all of the other obligatory F13 stuff.

the mask is looking good, but, i'm REALLY excited to see Jason wearing the sack (even if it's going to be brief). i thought he was scariest when he was wearing it. either way, i think this movie is going to be awesome!! Happy F13th everyone!

Wow, ugh, from how Fueller was talking, it was like they planned to make the mask completely different. This really doesn't look any different than the original hockey mask. Maybe a little more dirty-looking, but not more menacing(like Fueller claimed). I wonder if people think old looking things look more menacing than newer looking things. For instance, they did the same with Michael Myers's mask in RZ's remake, made it look all old and crusty. It's funny, though. OLD looking items creep this generation out, but older horror movies don't.

After mulling over all the images of the mask. I'm pretty sure it's made from a altered version of the original mask buck used throughout the films. Durng the reworking stage. They filled in the hole work in the forehead and mouth/chin area, and then they changed how these holes looked on the mask. The holes on the forehead were moved up higher, and the holes in the chin mouth area were spaced further apart. I don't like it at all.

The change in the chin and mouth area hole placements, and the smooth over used to erase the original hole layout-makes that area look swollen and fat. The frontal forehead hole change looks retarded also.

I mean his chin looks like a jockstrap cup now.... Gotta be a mega Friday the 13th Fan to understand the gripe. Most won't notice the change. So these guys have nothing to worry about.

Only mega wimps and shitty nerds will complain about the mask. Sure, it's nothing amazing, but it looks fine. What the hell would you expect from a HOCKEY MASK?

the mask looks great. i just hope the remake won't suck like the halloween remake did. that was such a disappointment. it might not. i mean they got michael bay, andrew form, brad fuller, and all the guys that did the texas chainsaw massacre remake. they did an okay job with it. not too good, not too bad. but it was pretty decent. sadly, swift and shannon are writing the script, and i thought their screenplay for freddy vs. jason sucked.

Scugar the same fucking thing I expect from a Myers mask. Accuracy to the original or something so far left and new that it looks nothing like the original. Thats not what we got here. We have a retooled copy. They should have paid for the original from the original creator- He offered up a bid to be part of this remake. Nice judgement call on a fan you fucktard.

thephantomk: I couldn't put my finger on it, but you nailed it - the mask does look a bit "off" in places. I think it most resembles the FvJ look with the chevron placement & weathering. Could've been worse, though, remember the mask from Jason X?

Scurgar, I don't think I was bitching about the mask, but it is odd that Fueller gave the impression that the mask was going to be tweaked, but really it looks just about the same. In the heart, I guess I DO prefer it looking classic(like it does) over, maybe, them adding extra ridges or shit along the eyes or cheeks. That would be shit. And yeah, out of all, I guess the mask is NOTHING without the man behind it. A Jason pic is probably high on my list. And as someone else mentioned, I'm also anticipating how they made him look UNDER the mask. Gotta love ole' deformo Jason!

Hey Phoenix85 and stewie666 What the hell are you talking about, The mask looks the same from the past films. Why does this site let assholes post there stupid comments when other people are on this site trying to enjoy the news about F13th. Love the mask and this remake is going to be great. I love how people pretend that this remake is "ruining" the franchise when the franchise is already destroyed with friday part 8,9,X,and VS.freddy. Those 4 films where a abomination to the friday the 13th franchise. 1-7 where the good films. A remake is just what this franchise needed. Cant wait for February 13th 2009, not January like someone else posted.

The Mask looks great, can't wait for Jason to be slicing some Campers on Friday the 13th oh and JKROUSKOP, the reason that the gash is missing from the Mask (from Part 3) is because the Franchise is being restarted.

Looks good but I don't get why some people are in awe over it. I DO get why hardcore Friday 13th fans are over the moon to see more stuff from the film but the mask itself is more or less like all others in the films...?

I knew that, brandonsl21, but there has been some public confusion over whether this was a full-blown restart (giving enough background to get the ball rolling, but not officially including any previous films in the continuity) or a sequel ala SUPERMAN RETURNS (picking up sometime after Part 2 or Part 3 and ignoring everything from there on). Just mentioned it so anyone still wondering would pick up on the obivious clue.

That mask looks like a dirtier version of the mask from part 3, right before Dana Kimmell gives him a severe case of axe-head. I remember being 8 yrs.old. My sister at 17, having sleep-overs, parties & such. They'd be watching Friday the 13th, Halloween, Amityville Horror, ect. I was never allowed to watch, but I managed to squeeze behind the living-room couch & take it all in anyway. They'd take a break & go outside or whatever & I'd help myself to their snack bowls & such. Managed to fill-up & quickly hide back behind the couch again. Ah youth, sweet youth. Wish I could re-live those days again (sigh). Watching those 70's & 80's horror flicks is like goin' back in time for me. The films are great, but sometimes the memories they unlock are just as good.
