If you head on over to First Showing you can watch the trailer for 20th Century Fox's Mirrors, Alex Aja's remake of the Korean horror pic INTO THE MIRROR, which hits theaters August 15. The story follows a security guard at a high-end department store who begins to investigate mysterious deaths occurring in front of the stores' mirrors. He soon discovers that there are murderous reflections out for revenge. Also check out this behind-the-scenes video. What do you guys think of the trailer? Better than HILLS HAVE EYES?
I agree.. MEH!!!! Ive enjoyed All of Aja's films (Switchblade Romance, Hills and his produced effort P-2) I have faith in the man, but this trailer doesnt really Grab Me! I can see the Kid gettin a little on my nerves!
Actually I thought the trailer looked good. But the only reason why it looked a little sloppy was because it crammed too much in. I liked Hills have eyes and P2. I have to see High tension.
I liked HT up until the awful, awful, garbage dump of an ending and I like Hills Have Eyes, I'll definitely check this out even if the trailer's a big 'meh'.
brother grimm gothika is one of the worst movies i see the trailer looks like is the begining of the movie the boy is traped in the mirror world and later the caracter of kKiefer become a surveillance cop of a mall store and later star the supernatural and this trailer look like the ring and darkwater but i believe this gona be a great movie is only a bad teaser
That's obviously a tv spot and it's a bad one! This doesn't even look like an Alexandre Aja film.
I am so sick of movies and trailers using these sounds that they take out of music libraries...for example in the trailer for this film Ugh!!! Im so sick of that fake childrens laugh. Can't they record actual children laughing in a creepy way!? It's always the same old shit. I never see people talking about this!
Listen fuckers, Alex Aja is the future of film making. The intensity in his movies exceeds any i've seen in recent years. High Tension and The Hills Have Eyes were put above any horror movies that were coming out at that time. Give him a break and more importantly give Mirrors a chance.
everyone should go to Dread Central and watch their exclusive featurette, not only did I think the movie wouldn't be that gory but damn it looks cool. So much better than the generic teaser.

GO WATCH THE INTERNATIONAL TRIALER!! It looks sooooo much more horrific. http://www.foxfilm.se/trailer.jsp?id=117
Seriously. This HAS to be a sick movie.
This looks nothing like the original. The original was about a security guard investigating a murder at a mall. This looks like a sequel to 'The Messengers'.
The supernatural element should not be in the foreground like this (at least not in the teaser). They should approach this like a police procedural with a supernatural twist to it.
Advertising the film like this (if they are actually sticking to original premise) would be like advertising 'The Forgotten' as a movie about alien abductions. You don't present the one selling point so early in the trailer, especially not with such a dumb tagline.
americangods, Aja has specifically said Mirror's is a remake in name only. the security guard thing is the only real aspect of the original that made it into Aja's Mirrors (Aja wrote his Mirrors himself).
ClosedCasketCinema, i agree w/ you. Aja is horror movie fans' heroes! i'm so happy he's making R rated films for adults. NOT kids (a la the shitfest Prom Night 2008)!
yeh that trailer sucked tremendously BUT i will still go see it because i love ajas stuff and just because the first trailer is baad dont meen that the movie will be as well.
The international trailer looks a lot better... It also looks like he's barely kept anything from the original which is great because the original had about two scary scenes then turned into a cop drama with a very cool ending... I'm interested to see why Keifer's family gets attacked by the ghost because that's a huge deviation from the original....
