Lionsgate also announced today a new film from the master of (crappy ass) horror Ulli Lommel (Curse of the Zodiac) - SON OF SAM, which arrives on DVD September 2. The film creates a fictionalized account of the chilling tale of the "Son of Sam," a vicious serial killer who terrorized the streets of New York in the late '70s. Upon his arrest, the "Son of Sam" told police he was influenced by a satanic cult. The city of New York would never be the same. DVD special features include director's commentary and a stills gallery. Pricing: DVD $26.98
the only movie i bought from him was the original The Boogeyman...
True, it wasn't all that great, i still enjoyed it (in a "it's soooo bad it's good" way). But his other movies?? Good thing a friend showed it to me or i rented it (i rent pretty much any horror dvd and then see which one to buy) because they sucked!!! Curse of the Zodiac was such an insult of a movie! How can anyone be so bad at making a movie!!? Seriously, he should be the guy that motivates you to become a filmmaker.. "if i can do it, then so can you!"
I sat through Green River Killer- hoping to find a movie, alas... it did not exist. The only horror he creates is the fear of having to watch another one of his movies!
