This summer Rogue Pictures' The Strangers shocked us all by taking on some massive summer blockbusters and still pulling off a successful opening weekend at the box office, so much so that we heard talk of a sequel has already begun. This weekend we put out some calls and have confirmed 100% that there is in fact talk of bringing the hooded villains back to the big screen. Watch for more news soon. The film was about a couple in a remote suburban house who are targeted by three dangerous masked strangers. The resulting clashes force the couple to go well beyond what they thought themselves capable of in order to survive.
never seen ti like ho i wanted to go and see it but stuff came up. so ill just have to see what i think of it before i think that there should be a sequel to it or not.
Not surprised at all. Any movie that makes money is ripe for a sequel. They certainly left it open for that, but I'm not sure they will be as scary the next time around. It's how I feel about SAW. The first was clever and cool, but each sequel has just watered it down and it has little effect anymore in my opinion. Matter of fact, that's how most sequels are with the exception of a few. It's never as good as the first time around.
I'd rather they, on the basis of the success, throw some money at the guy so he can get another movie off the ground rather than greenlighting an unneccesary sequel that doesn't even make sense.

Since they're both dead it won't really be a great sequel. Sequels that don't have the original actors usually go straight to DVD. I'd rather have it be a stand-alone film. It's great like that. If they do make a sequel, it'll either be about a similar couple, prequel to the story, or they go attack some stupid teens. One of those 3. I loved The Strangers, but I really don't think there should be a sequel since they're both dead.

I think The Strangers 2 would be great, if they made more actually happen. the strangers was decent, but it was kind of boring at times. if they do proceed with a sequel, please add more to the story. and please, no Strangers: The Beginning. I do not want to learn the backstory for the psychos- that will take everything away from the first film.
It seems that everyone either loves this film or hates it. Even the BD folks are divided. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure I will like it a lot and think it sucks.
It's simple. If you like your horror with alot of gore, you wont like it. If you appreciate horror with suspense/ terror (ala, First Halloween style)then you will really like it. I gave it 2 Big Butcher Knives up over here.
this could be a good thing or a bad thing. i would like it a lot if the strangers would be terrorizing another family and thats when liv tyler comes to get revenge
