We broke the news on the new Jason Voorhees and now we've discovered who will play the killer behind the mask in Lionsgate's remake of My Bloody Valentine, which hits theaters January 23, 2009 in 3-D. Bloody-Disgusting learned that stuntman Chris Carnel (Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Devil's Rejects, among many others) will play The Miner/Harry Warden (the killer in the film), which was original played by Peter Cowper in the original 1981 pic. No word on if the character's name has changed or not in the remake. In the remake Tom (Jensen Ackles) returns to his hometown on the tenth anniversary of the Valentine's night massacre that claimed the life of 22 people. Instead of a homecoming, Tom finds himself suspected of committing the murders.
hmmmm. interesting. so Axel ISN'T the killer (i think it was Axel right?). either way, i'm really excited for this movie!! PLEASE be R rated. and not like the SHITTY, CRAPFEST PG-13 rated Prom Night!
I am strangely intrigued by this remake. Half of me thinks it's going to blow chunks, half of me thinks it'll be great. I loved the original, but I'm not quite sure if I'm a fan of what they did to the plot (and by that, I mean grabbing Harry Warden's pickaxe and chopping it to pieces). However, I loved Jaime King in The Tripper, so I'll probably check it out either way.
I'm a little unsure about the 3-D idea as well. Based on the original, I don't see where having it really makes any difference. I gotta believe this will be better than Prom Night based on the plot alone. The original was great by 80's slasher standards. I hope they do this justice. I thought Dawn of the Dead and the Hills Have Eyes remakes were pretty damn good, so maybe we got a shot here.
I got meet the new guy who plays the killer an hes really a great guy. I think this movie will be great but then agian i have been watchin them make most of it .
saw the original boring, but good story. I'm glad this one is coming out. And Jensen Ackles is in it? HELLO! He'll be the best thing that hit the movie. He's make it shine. And all this 3D stuff can't wait to see how it'll turn out. There killing us with the release date.
