Choo-choo! Lionsgate has set the ball rolling and has shifted the release of The Midnight Meat Train (review) once again, but at least it's only a two week difference. The adaptation of the short story by Clive Barker will now hit theaters August 1 instead of July 11. No word on if it'll open in more theaters, but word has it that the release will be extremely limited. The story features a commuter's run-in with a New York subway serial killer and a horde of subterranean cannibals.
WTF??? why is it so limited? that sucks. I have been looking foward to seeing this for a long time now, and if it doesnt come to Portland, im going to be freking pissed!
The thing that bugs me about a limited release is it just pushes back the eventual dvd release. If you're not going to support it, just put it out on dvd already so the people that want to see it can.
u got to be kidding me they are shifting it again!?!?!?! they are stupid if they dont relase it in more theatres. that way more people LIKE ME can see it and it can make more money. stupid lionsgate......stupid media oh way bohoo they dont want blood they dont want guts...wahhh they are releasing the happening worldwide i men come on!!!!!! they should go and check out the numbers on the tcm remake and the tcm beginining and they were to me gorry as heck. and look at saw franchise, hostel, hello?!?!?! wolf creek..... join the club rick the rreaper they prob wont show it near me and i live in pennsylvannia and there is only a few movie theatres near me and they are crappy. well looks like ill be gtetting this on dvd......theyd rather put crappy movies that dont make nothing or people that arent interested in seeing up there than horror flicks. someone needs to go and light a fire under the people at lionsgate.
Movie studios make no sense. Everyone I've shown this trailer to, even non-horror fans, want to see it. It just looks like an awesome film.
