Dimension Films Makes 'Halloween 2' Offer?

We broke the news back in February that a sequel to Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN was in the works. Now, only months after severing ways over the remake of HELLRAISER, it appears that the French directors of INSIDE, Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury, have been approached by Dimension Films to direct Halloween 2, according to STYD. Bustillo and Maury are currently developing another new French thriller entitled SNOW, which could be put on the back burner if a deal is reached. We're digging for official confirmation as this should be taken as strictly rumor right now.

Directors of INSIDE? Meaning we'll get an even gorier Halloween flick! Bring it on, I'm open for a sequel.

To each their own, but it seems like all you guys are asking for is blood and guts. Hell, if that is your standard then go watch a hundred other movies that give just that. I, for one, wouldn't really want to see Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury get caught up in the American remake machine. Whether you liked "Inside" or hated it, you gotta give it to them, these guys have talent.

as much as i like blood and guts i think they should go back to the original and have more scares then blood and guts

i personally loved inside. we know a remake is coming, i mean take a look around the genre for christs sake, so bring it on. i would love a gore filled remake, maybe we can get a remake that isnt crap. speaking of remakes, is barker gonna have anything to do with hellraiser? and who else is involved?

Honestly, after seeing The Strangers I think Bryan Bertino would be perfect to do a Halloween. He would deff. get that creepy Halloween feel.

Although a sequel may happen, there is no guarantee Michael Myers will be a part of the sequel. Albeit trying to make a sequel Myers-less today is far more risky than when Halloween III was made. Audiences are harder to empress these days.

Rob Zombie, prepare to get pwned!!!

It was inevitable. Someone will attempt a sequel. Just like the new Friday the 13th remake, you can bet on a sequel. Same with Elm Street. There is just too much of a profit to be made by the studios to leave it alone. They invest 20 million to make it and recoup the costs after the opening weekend. The rest that comes in is all profits.

I think that of all directors I can think of right now, they totally would be perfect to do a Halloween. INSIDE had a lot of gore, yes, but it also captured the same kind of suspense in Halloween. At least, I think so.

God I hope they do it. As long as Rob Slombie has nothing to do with it. Then I will go see it.

As long as they bring back scout taylor compton I don't care have her wear a tank top for the sequel.

fuck it...why not... am i slowly coming to terms with the sad fact that is horror "re-franchises"??? i want another TCM more than another halloween...to me the best part of the remake was the first half... maybe with a new team behind it it'll be alright... but i know i don't want to see another Halloween movie by Rob Zombie...

oh i would be so on-board for this if its real. i just want another halloween, i feel that the remake could have been better so i want part 2 to be superior to it.

Is this remake series going to continue until they can't give it an appropriate finale and throw it out the window like the original Halloween 8?

Love Zombie, hated his Halloween.Upping the brutality at the expense of character development and pacing did nothing for me. I had hoped that it was the final nail in Michael Myers coffin, but sadly it looks like that isn't the case.
