Dark Sky Films announced today the Blu-ray release of Tobe Hooper's original The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for September 30. No other details have ben revealed yet, but we'll keep you posted. The classic 1974 horror film followed five friends who are visiting their grandpa's old house are hunted down and terrorized by a chainsaw wielding killer (Leatherface) and his family of grave-robbing cannibals.
This will be pretty interesting since TCM was shot on 16mm... I doubt the quality will be any better than regular DVD
