Lastly from Ship to Shore Distribution comes Park Chan-wook's (Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr Vengeance, Lady Vengeance) latest feature film, I'M A CYBORG, BUT THAT'S OK. Originally released in South Korea in 2006, the film arrives on DVD August 5 featuring Original Korean language with optional English and Thai subtitles, Original 1:85 aspect ratio and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound mix and stereo sound mix. Winner of the Alfred Bauer Prize at the 2007 Berlin International Film Festival and Opening film at the Hong Kong International Film Festival "I'm a Cyborg, But That's Okay" is world renowned filmmaker Chan-wook Park's unlikely fallow up film to his "trilogy of vengeance" films ("Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance", "Oldboy", and "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance"). The film fallows Young-goon (Lim Soo-jung), a cyborg that needs an electrical current to survive. It makes perfect sense to her, therefore, to cut open her wrist and plug herself into the mains; to eschew food in favour of licking batteries; and to only befriend other machines. The world at large seems to find her behaviour odd, however, and duly confines her to a mental hospital... There, she strikes up a touching bond with Il-sun (Jung Ji-hoon a.k.a. Rain), who has an uncontrollable tendency to steal other people's souls. A musical romance unlike any other, with extraordinary visual ideas and lovely performances from two of South Korea's most revered pop culture icons.
