The film fallows a small family as they move into a cluttered inherited home with dreams of fixing it up and making some money from a garage sale. while the husband and wife argue over increasing money strains money their little girl seems increasingly detached from the world around. The only friend she manages to make in the new neighborhood is someone she simply calls "the man in the garage" who her parents believe is nothing more than an imaginary friend . But, as time progresses, odd things begin happening causing them to suspect that maybe their is more going on than a child's over-active imagination.
