I was just reading this on the way home from work today. I'm curious to see how this translates onto the screen. It's mostly the son and father together, not much contact with other people. But I'm in the middle so I'll see what happens. But the look of the pic fits the feel of the book.

Hopefully it's not like War of the Worlds with the camera aimed at Tom Cruise the whole time...hopefully they show what's really happening around them

that Viggo has got mad awesome beard going on...i can tell from that alone that i will enjoy the journey

At times, the book was difficult to read, but for all the right reasons. I can't remember ever seeing a performance by Viggo Mortesen that I didn't like. So many actors more or less play themselves, but with Mortensen, there's no routine or shtick. I'm anxious to see if they'll stick with the very personal perspective instead of the "apocalypse in general" point of view used so often in such films.

I just listened to the book on cd...roadtrip....and it was awsome. can't wait to see the movie and hear the score....I'm a huge fan of Nick Cave and loved "The Proposition".
