Lincoln Lewis (The Home And Away), son of rugby league king Wally Lewis, has signed on to play the lead in the Aussia horror film 5 BLUE DOGS, which is about a young offender mixed up with the wrong crowd, according to News.com.au. The film is still in pre-production but its producer, Julie Trunkfield, said Lewis was a no-brainer for the role despite his squeaky-clean image and his blue-blood football lineage. "We just thought Lincoln would be perfect for the role because it's going to be so different for him," Julie told Qconfidential. Produced by the Brisbane-based White Light Pictures, the film will be shopped at the Cannes Film Festival next week with shooting slated for early 2009.
