Laura Dern, the actress who plays Dr. Ellie Sattler in the JURASSIC PARK franchise, recently talked with TV Guide Magazine about the fourth dino-entry that has been hitting some development plot holes since last summer. "It isn't just speculation. It's a while away, but my understanding is it's happening and my character is very involved. I know Steven Spielberg is looking forward to getting it together over the next year."" The last draft of the screenplay was scrapped after the internet buzz was cynical of the plot, which features dinosaurs rocking army gear and weapons. Sam Neill will not be returning at this point.
Yeah, bullshit. They make little rumors like this 4 times a year. And it never progresses. Hire me on that shit, Spielberg, I'll do it justice. And there won't be any fucking army gear on velociraptors. But there will be velociraptors on people. Eating them.
I'm torn. Like cpanthers, I really liked the first two. The third one was fun, but didn't share the same feeling as the first two. It was more like a fun n gun action flick, which was fine. But I don't know if I'd want this to continue. I don't want the dinosaurs coming back to the mainland. I don't want someone to go or get lost on the island, forcing some original characters to go after them.. AGAIN. Give the characters a real reason to go. Fuck some stupid little kid and his dad. Fuck some bitch doing a story, give me a reason to CARE why they go back. Now I'm kind of in the mood to watch the first one >.>
Its my mission in life to see a T-rex brandishing a laser weapon, but, I'm pretty sure any movie that actually had one in it would be terrible.
Maybe they should go back and remake the first one so that it actually lives up to Michael Chriton's book and isn't just a shelf filler for little kids.
First one AWESOME because it was original. second one was Meh in a good way because of the gymnast daughter and Meh in a bad way because of the gymnast daughter. Third one had sort of a weak concept story but got a little better with the raptor egg things....But a JP4 is what I've been partly looking forward to this since the end of JP3 with the Petro's flying away from the Island
It will be a Dino Crisis movie and it will be awesome and it won't start some short haired brown haired white woman or some grizzly beard handsome short brown haired white dude. It will star a bunch of teens that are trained to fight Dinos
A Dino Crisis movie with teens that are trained to fight Dinos sounds like something Paul Anderson would love to make. Jurassic Park 4 is going to be a hard nut to crack. I'd say go all out and bring the Dinosaurs to the mainland and ruin a city. Have a bunch of likeable survivors band together to escape, coming across lots of obstacles (cloverfield/28 weeks later). If the budget was big enough and the story exciting enough I think this could be good. Perhaps make it the last though...
i liked the first two. the third was allright....they should bring back the two kids from the first one. (cant think of there names). but only as all grown up. (check that i thought that was going to be the plot at one point where the girl from the first one was gonig to be brought back??) wonder if jeff goldblum is gonna reprise his role again since sam neil aint doing it prob.
Laura Dern better not be the only person coming back. At the very least bring back Goldblum as Malcolm. I don't trust what she's saying about Speilberg getting this close to pre-production in the next year as he's being focusing primarily on his upcoming Lincoln movie with Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson instead.
Dinosaurs with weapons? What the hell lets just make it where the US breeds them and trains them for fighting Al-Qaeda in the mountains of Afghanistan. What better to send in to find Osama bin Laden then a group of hungry and pissed off raptors?
