If you head on over to the official webspace for Platinum Dunes, you can read Producer Brad Fuller's latest blog entry that gives some final thoughts on the production of The Unborn (revealing some really cool sequences), and also introduces the production of Friday the 13th, which is now shooting in Austin, Texas. On the blog Fuller reveals a small bit on FRIDAY - about nudity - that is sure to get a lot of the hardcore Jason Voorhees enthusiasts crazy excited. Watch for more soon.
i never really thought of the friday the 13th films as anything other than 'bloody' good entertainment (im more of a halloween man) so for once i dont think i have to dread the first review of this, platinum dunes next project because i really dont think they can fuck this up any more than the constant barrage of sequals that basterdized the original series so you have my support mr.fuller
I liked the 2nd friday film most the first I think was a little overrated. For me the 2nd blew the first away. And after the 2nd we got basically continually crap until today we have a new sign of hope. For me this remake could work because the first movie seemed weak to me.
ugh i hope they dont try to fill us with nudity in every 3 scenes like they did with halloween that really sucks, if i wanted to see porno i would stay at home
I'm with Hell-Gear, couldn't care less about the nudity, I see the Friday flicks to see Jason slaughter everyone. And of course see his mother slaughter everyone in the first one. And of course see the paramedic slaughter everyone in the fifth one. But you get the point >.>
Hell-gear and Zombie hell said it all. Just make a good HORROR movie, this whole streak of horror filmmakers thinking their has to be nudity in horror films are a bunch of dumb shits, give me a break, horror films are about suspense and terror and a horrifying situation with scary things going on, nudity is just something they think people think should be put into the film, how predictable of them. Stupid asses.
i agree with everyone, especially with grindhouse1, the things that annoyed me bout Halloween remake was the language and nudity, i just want a good Friday the 13th film.
who cares about the nudity all i want is the blood and guts and gore...right on h200 and beauk. can we please have a remake that isnt f this f that every five seconds?
Nudity is always good but we do have porn for that. I want to see a great HORROR movie. It's hard to believe because there have been so many terrible sequels; but the first
Friday the 13th was a great horror movie.
Am I the only person here who understand the POINT of the F13 films? They were made as scare tactics to teenagers. Notice how every person who does drugs or has sex is killed. Notice that the whole thing started because of kids having sex and doing drugs instead of watching Jason. A F13 film without nudity misses the point of F13 and therefore what really made F13 scary. Therefore - bring on the nudity.
ilooklikesatan, that isn't the point. If, by that logic, ALL horror movies are scare tactics to teens because all stress the same logic: "the good straigh-thinking heroine doesn't let drugs or sex cloud her mind and is alert to the signs of danger". That's how MOST horror movies play out. The original Halloween even did that. And while some nudity is always welcome, I agree, major nudity is best for porn. Gimme the slaughter more than nudity or sex scenes. It's kinda annoying when a horror movie stops and focuses on a 5 minute sex scene. That's 5 minutes the writers really didn't have to do anything to progress the story.
The thing is be honest with yourself if you honestly think we can get a great film out of this. The chances are slim 2 none for that but we may get a good movie which will please most of us based on the crap we have been fed recently.
It's quality that counts not nude chicks. (Even though I enjoy it)
