Shooting begins Monday in Pittsburgh for Lionsgate's remake of My Bloody Valentine 3-D, which will be helmed by Patrick Lussier. Bloody-Disgusting was tipped off that Kerr Smith (Final Destination) and Edi Gathegi (Twilight, Death Sentence) will join the previously announced Jamie King, Jensen Ackles and Tom Atkins. Ten years ago the sleepy town of Harmony, Montana was the setting for a series of grisly murders on Valentine's night. Now, it seems the killer is back... or is he? The film is slated for release January 23, 2009.

Davegr 6:41pm, May 10, 2008 Some of the character names are the same but from what I've read it isn't going to be like the original. There is no Patty (Cynthia Dale) character, who was the heroine's (Lori Hallier) best friend - so you know when characters are completely dropped it isn't going to be too similar. So far the cast looks pretty decent, Kerr Smith is a good addition.
