I really hope that the next person to pick up the camera in part 2 has a lot more skill. the beyond amateur camera-style work killed the entire movie for me.

What about the sequel taking a select few down into the ocean in search of the satellite... and showing their experience? Have some of them be students at a college making a documentary on the "project" for a business class. The idea is to document the whole fake "satellite" dropping publicity stunt and they end up documenting something much worse.

Oh yay, more stupid codes that all translate into another bad movie. If it wasn't for that dude holding the camera being funny, I would have got up and left the theatre when I saw that peice of garbage. The only Cloverfield that I know that is scary is Cloverfield Blvd when I am trying to get to work in the morning. The monster looks like shit too.

I agree with evil alien, after watching it 3 or 4 times, it just gets frustrating to watch. The movie couldve been effective with the hand held and a actually movie camera. The scene in the streets where they are right there with the monster and army couldve been alot better.

I thought it was linked to the satellite crashing into the water at the end of the first movie but when you enter the coordinates shown on the pictures, the location is about 800-900 miles off the coast of the U.S.

has anyone tried figuring out the password to access the rest of the site yet? if you remove the "/access.htm" from the link/address, you are presented with a blank white page with only "username" and "password" fields... tried a few things for username and password, but nothing seemed to work (kept getting the "forbidden" message!)

Maybe the 2nd picture was taken by one of the subs following the other sub and monster to the surface just before the station is sunk? No chance it was the satellite, way too far away!

Does anyone know who the "VIP" escaping in the chopper is in the video of the sinking station? Anyone thinkin it might be Ganu Yoshida? Top dog at Tagruato?
