While on the set of Sony Screen Gems' Quarantine a fews months back, we had the chance to talk to John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle, the duo behind the remake of the Spanish horror film [REC]. The duo explained to B-D exclusively that MGM has big plans for The Poughkeepsie Tapes, with ambitions of creating a franchise around the first film. When asked if they'd return to write and direct a sequel, they both exclaimed "yes!" Watch for more soon, including a release date for the long-awaited film which follows the aftermath of a serial killer who terrorized upstate New York in the '90s.
meh im more bother by the fact that they remade [REC] FOR NO OTHER FUCKING REASON , jsut throw some subs on the Spanish one and release that.....fucking americans
cant wait for this movie. was dissapointed when it was first announced to be released on FEB 8 but then moved. Hopefully they dont use the film to pinch every last dollar that they can out of it, havent seen it but if it is as good as the previews make it out to be then a sequel would be good, but again as long as we dont see 'poughkeepsie tapes #6" then ill be happy.
man i dont like movies when its about the killer not the people and you know they are going to die and is it just showing him killing them and then on to another tape that would be STUPID. i dont not want to see this and also when i went to to go see Prom Night i saw the art cover of the thing and it said rated R: for sadistic violence and torture, including terror and graphic descriptions.
