Inside you'll find the first photos from the inaugural season of Fear Itself, NBC's new horror anthology that is set to debut on June 5, 2008. The first pics are from Stuart Gordon's THE EATER, which follows a rookie cop (Moss) must spend her first night in the precinct watching over a serial killer, coined "The Eater" (Stephen R. Hart). When her fellow cops start acting bizarre, she quickly learns that no one is who they seem. Read on for a look.
I just don't think that horror and NBC go together. It doesn't sound like a recipe for greatness. Besides, if a great director had a really great idea he would just make a movie instead of some dick-cheese tv show. Fuck this whole thing and that fucking Prom Night remake while I'm at it.
it's hard to be hopeful about a commercial television horror anthology these days...but in the spirit of wishing to see horror get some better representation on T.V., my fingers are crossed.
I work on this show and i know alot of people are saying a show like this cant be done on NBC, but i think when people see Eater, i think they will be eating there words!
It's about time there was a serious attempt at creating a good horror series for network TV. I have every hope that it will turn out fairly well -- horror is big business these days. Also, I'm eager to see some real creativity rather than just a bunch of no-limits blood and guts. Speaking of which, has anyone seen the kind of blood and guts they show on TV these days? (ER, CSI, etc.) It won't be squeaky clean, don't worry. And Stuart Gordon rocks, the pics look great, so anyone who isn't psyched is just totally back-asswards, anyway.
