Courtney Solomon announced today that Sean Ellis' The Broken (review) is the first film to play at this year's third annual AFTER DARK HORRORFEST. The film played at this past January's Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. "The Broken" is a psychological horror project, starring Lena Headey (the Sarah Conner Chronicles) as a woman whose life descends into nightmare after she sees an apparent double of herself driving by in her own car. Lionsgate will release the film on DVD in 2009. Courtney also explained that he hopes to release only original productions in HORRORFEST 4 for 2009.
Fest 1 = Sucked
Fest 2 = Tolerable
I've wasted too much of my time watching 16 horror movies that only maybe 4 were tolerable. I'm done with the Afterdark Horrorfests
I was thinking the other day "what if Horrorfest had productions of their own." I wondered if they would promote that/those films more than the other ones they acquired that year. I didn't realize that they actually were making their own productions now.
for the afterdark horrorfest ive only liked "wicked little things","reincarnation",and "gravedancers" i dont care for the afterdark horrorfest 2 b/c it had to many cannabal movies. i want more suspense movies like Vacancy, and halloween series.
After dark 1 washad fun movies accept the hamiltons...after dark 2 had dull movies accpet melberry street.
Gravedancers.wicked little things,the abandoned,penny dreadful,unrest were good.
