Download the single HERE! Only a month after releasing his instrumental CD "Ghosts", Trent Reznor is teasing a full-length traditional album in "just two weeks". The new song, Discipline debuted this morning on KROQ, who reports that Alan Moulder finished mastering the song yesterday and they received an e-mail from Trent Reznor around 1 p.m. that just said "two weeks!" The last time Reznor teased a time, it was the release of "Ghosts", which reportedly has sold more than $1.5 million worth of product since its online launch. We'll report back in two weeks with details on what is rumoured to be "Year Zero 2".
Good, glad to hear about a new album. I really, really tried to like Ghosts, but I just couldn't get into it. Instrumental stuff just isn't for me. Give me some new traditional NIN stuff!
I've been following this shit all day. I'm one of those rabid NIN fans that helped crash the internet when Ghosts came out. The new single's pretty damn good, though I'm hoping for some more dirty, grinding, industrial on this work, because Reznor seems to be going more towards pseudo-poppy shit, which is good once in a while, just not all the time. I'm thinking that this is going to be an EP, though, not a full length album, and probably not Year Zero related.
Dem's my theories.
hah...thats just what i said. ghosts hasnt been out for hardly any time at all and now a new NIN halo is coming...this is f88kin awesome. its good thing BD posts NIN and Manson news too since i am big fans of both. i have every single NIN halo...took a long time to collect em all too. but i am just about to hear the new NIN song now. i am sure its good.
Sounds like a leftover track from that shitty With Teeth album. That's the problem with him releasing his own stuff now. He doesn't really have to think about it and wonder if it's a good enough product to actually sell. He can just throw that same canned beat he's been using for the past 5 years on to the same bass line he's been using for the past 10 years and throw it out on the internet. Boring.
