Producer-writer-director Eric Stanze is getting behind the camera once again with his latest horror flick, SEIZURE, an ultra low budget horror film that already has Zelda Rubinstein (Poltergeist films), Adrienne King (Friday the 13th 1 and 2) and John Saxon (Black Christmas, Enter the Dragon, A Nightmare on Elm Street) attached to star. Shooting in St. Louis, Missouri this September, the film carries a pretty hefty synopsis, which can be found inside.
Drew Farrow has been plagued by unexplainable and unrelenting seizures, during which he hallucinates some very strange images. He glimpses a mysterious, elderly woman in an ominous and decaying forest. She is standing at the edge of a seemingly bottomless pit. With the assistance of Dr. Joe Blackburn, a hypnotherapist, Drew struggles to find the meaning of these images. However, with the sudden death of his brother Chris, Drew must put his therapy on hold and prepare for his brother's funeral. Drew and some of his family members road-trip across the state to attend Chris's funeral. In the group isChris's widow, Jamie. Drew and Jamie had an affair five years ago, resulting in Jamie having a son. This incident has created an ever escalating tension between Drew and Jamie. They attempt to set aside their loathing for each other while on this road trip to Chris's funeral. The road trip is interrupted when Drew has one of his violent seizures. In this remote, rural area, the group becomes lost in the woods. As the sun sets, it becomes clear that their presence in these woods is no accident. Soon, the family stumbles upon the pit that Drew has been seeing during his seizures. Something evil is in this pit. It wants Drew, and it dispatches its demonic minions to drag Drew's body and soul into the deep darkness of the chasm. Demonic possession takes Drew's family members one by one, turning them violently against Drew. They will stop at nothing as they battle to drag Drew to his brutal annihilation.
