Bloody-Disgusting learned this evening that Matthew Bright (Freeway, Modern Vampires) will be directing the previously announced The Manson Girls, which stars Lindsay Lohan. Here's the official synopsis: This is the true story of CHARLES MANSON as seen through the eyes of Brenda, Sadie and Squeaky, girls from prosperous families who became one of his most loyal followers; from the Family's beginnings as a hippie commune to a highly organized crime family made up of young females, that continued on long after Manson was sent to Death Row, and how one of its offshoots became known as "The Aryan Brotherhood." The story of Charles Manson is the story of the end of an era and the loss of innocence for an entire generation. The film will capture the lure and sense of exhilaration those who lived through the era experienced and provide a depiction of how such a thing could happen... The film begins lensing in Los Angeles this July.
I have no faith in this because Lindsay just can't act her way out of a paper bag. Everything I've seen her in just gets hurt by her "performances" if you can them that. She is the same character in every damn thing she does. And that character is called lindsay lohan, and that my friends, is not acting.
