Lionsgate's adaptation to Clive Barker' short story, The Midnight Meat Train (aka Midnight Train), test screened last week and one of our insiders tell us that the scores were through the roof, and that the audience was jumping and screaming in all the right places. This is great news for us who are highly anticipating the release of the film (in theaters) later this year. In the meantime, we discovered an awesome new bloody still from the film, which was directed by Ryuhei Kitamura (Versus, Alive). Read on for a look! What do you think?
This film has me intrigued...especially after watching the trailer. I'm not a big fan of Kitamura as I thought Versus was extremely overrated, and was really baffled by his take of Godzilla with Final Wars...but he seems to have this one looking damn good.
she's DONE!!! anyway I found final wars good especially with Zilla(CG Godzilla from the 1998 movie, who got the name Zilla because the movie took the god from Godzilla) never seen Versus but this looks good
yeah, he's definitely aiming! in the upcoming issue of Fangoria magazine, there's cool pic of the aftermath of this exact pic. SPOILER:
she gets her head knocked completely off! very cool pic in mag.
The movie dosn't really interest me, but the picture is great....it's awesome.............why is he all un focuesd and she's perfect.......anyways, it looks like the movie is gonna be a gore-fest.......
this should work given the source material, but i'm a bit worried about the director Ryuhei Kitamura. if it contains the same kinetic editing, ridiculous close-ups and cheese ball rock soundtracks as his other films Versus,Alive and the god awful Godzilla-Final Wars,it just might blow.
lov this pic! looks like lots of blood in this one, we lov that!!! reminds me a little of the scene in candyman where she wakes up in the apartment in a pool of blood (minus the killer)
"no motion blur on that hammer, it looks too posed"
I figured he was just lining up his shot.
"yeah, he's definitely aiming! in the upcoming issue of Fangoria magazine, there's cool pic of the aftermath of this exact pic. SPOILER: she gets her head knocked completely off! very cool pic in mag."
And that is why I DESPISE Fangoria magazine. Those bastards have ruined so many scenes in so many horror movies. Rue Morgue is far superior. F*#$ FANGORIA!
But anyway, about this movie, the concept seems silly, the title is awful, and the trailer left me uninterested. But I'm also from CT and don't relate this this scenario that much. I realized this when I actually went into NYC for a show last weekend. My wife and I were on the subway at 2 AM and again at 5 AM. I thought about how empty, sinister, and confining subways can be late at night. Then I thought about this upcoming film and I'm a bit more open to it now. Plus there's that name... Clive Barker. I have to at least give it a chance.
I do not give half a rat's ass about who is acting or who's spoiled what. All I know is that the world is getting another Clive Barker story in movie format. Life is good. :D
Hm.. never heard of this movie until now. Looks interesting. Hopefully it won't be some gore fest though. By the name, it sounds just that. I want some scary sh!t, not guts all over the screen. But, it will do. :)
Looks like it will be everything I hoped for...& more!
