'Natural Born Killers' Blu-ray Coffee Table Release Confirmed!

Blu-ray.com confirmed today that Warner Home Video has announced that they will release the Oliver Stone film NATURAL BORN KILLERS on Blu-ray June 10th as a "coffee book" edition. The film, which stars Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis, will be presented in its theatrical form, and not of the four minute longer Director's Cut. Video will be presented as 1080p VC-1 accompanied by a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. Extras include commentary with Oliver Stone, deleted scenes, an alternate ending, an interview of Oliver Stone by Charlie Rose, and theatrical trailer. The coffee book will be composed of 42-pages featuring rare photos and press materials as well as an essay of the film by director Oliver Stone. Hyper...ventil....ating.

I have neither of the HD formats and refuse to even go that route. Regular DVD is perfectly fine for me. But it seems as though now that Blu-ray has won the war, they can start doing bullcrap like this. Why not release the extended edition? So they can have a second release in another year and make more money? What's the point of a 50gb disc if they are gonna half ass it?
