Today we were not only supplied with the official theatrical trailer for After Dark Films' Frontier(s) (review), but we also scored a look at the DVD trailer cut for Lionsgate's DVD release. The bloody French film arrives in limited theaters May 9 and then on DVD the following Tuesday, May 13. In the film a gang of young thieves flee Paris during the violent aftermath of a political election, only to hole up at an Inn run by neo-Nazis. We've been covering this film pretty heavy since we first saw it at it's world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival this past September and am so excited to finally see it hit theaters! let me say this, this movie was F^CKING GREAT!!! it's one of the BEST movies (horror or otherwise) i've seen in a while (INSIDE being another one!). you won't be disappointed!!
This movie impressed the hell out of me. Really gripping and out of control brutality in some parts. Emotionally compelling as well, which just makes the savagery hit even harder.
Brutal...brutal movie. I thought it was fantastic.
The only issue I had with it was how the actress contracted twitches when she was traumatized. Understandable she'd be effected by what she went thru, but dear god by the end of the movie the shaky, stuttering movement was just plain annoying.
Saying that, still a great movie. I can safely say I'll pick it up on DVD when its released.
AS OF TODAY I PURCHASED THIS MOVIE FROM BEST BUY I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO GO GET YOURS AS IT IS A WEEK EARLIER THAN THE ADVERTISED DATE OF RELEASE AND I AM NOT SURE IF ITS A MISTAKE OR WHAT BUT THEY HAD IT AND NOW SO DO I !
I so fucking want this movie but can't find it anywhere in my town.... Dammit! i've seen parts of this film and the stuff i've seen.... totally insane!!
