If you look in the source code of www.thewhitespaces.com (referenced in Flylyf) you can see that some objects are named "Cloverfield." It could be a deliberate reference to get people on track with the viral content, or it could be a distaction/fan-made site.

i just wish they wouldn't start a viral campaign for a sequel when the first movie hasn't even come out on dvd yet. of course, this may not be a viral for the sequel, but who knows. it's just too soon. can't wait for the dvd though!

Ok, The Night Shot video doesn't seem to have anything to do with Cloverfield, but then I remembered Reeves is making a film called "The Invisible Woman" Keeping that in mind, the events in the Night Shot make alot more sense, IMO
