It is what it is, right? Today a new interview and footage from the film Prom Night appeared online and can be found inside. Rated PG-13, Donna’s senior prom is supposed to be the best night of her life, one of magic, beauty, and love. Surrounded by her best friends, she should be safe from the horrors of her past. But when the night turns from magic to murder there is only one man who could be responsible…the man she thought was gone forever. Now, Donna and her friends must find a way to escape the sadistic rampage of an obsessed killer, and survive their Prom Night.

I love how you threw in that little "Rated PG-13..." bit just to reassure us that it's a piece of shit.

What the fuck is wrong with a movie rated PG-13, you guys are pathetic. You were judging this movie before it was even being filmed. At least give it a fucking chance. Not every horror movie has to be a gory-torture slash em-gnash em movie.

Couldn't be worse than the original.

I so can't wait to see this!

BlackChristmas777, can you do me a favor and list FIVE good PG-13 horror movies that have come out recently?

Looks rather unimpressive, but whatever, I'll probably go with my girlfriend and her friends and laugh at them for being scared.

"BlackChristmas777, can you do me a favor and list FIVE good PG-13 horror movies that have come out recently?" I know you didn't direct that towards me, but I can name 5 for you... The Sixth Sense The Others The Ring Disturbia (more of a thriller, but still) I Am Legend (somewhat horror)

i didnt say of all time... i said recently. the only recent one you listed was Disturbia, if you even call that horror. and I Am Legend is sci-fi. recent= last 2 years or so.

the ring is the only one of those i'd consider a horror film

PG-13 is just a rating. I know most PG-13 horror movies suck but seriously, that doesn't mean you have to blast a movie that isn't even out yet just based on the rating (and the horrible trailer). But the TV spots are much better than the trailer, and this new footage looks 10 times better. The sad thing is that even if this movie is actually good, all of the haters will still say it sucked. Pathetic.

I'm sick of people trashing this movie. It looks like it will be quite intense. It won't be anywhere near as good as the original but it looks like it will be fun anyway. And just because it's PG-13 doesn't mean that it will suck. The job of a horror movie is to scare and horrify, representing the word 'horror'!!! Plenty of good PG-13 horror flicks have surfaced recently. When a Stranger Calls, An American Haunting, The Grudge, The Ring, etc. Now don't get me wrong. I am a huge horror fan and love tons of gore and blood but if a movie scares me, then I really don't care what it's rated. Stop hating on these movies and the people behind them becasue I am so sure that you pathetic people who are bashing them have such the good life!!!! BTW, Disturbia and I Am Legend are not horror but are considered thrillers. Learn the different genre of movies before posting things you know nothing about.

It might be good. Movies like When A Stranger Calls sucked ass because they seriously EARNED their PG13 ratings, whereas this might actually have a REAL Unrated cut when it comes to DVD. IDK, I think this looks decent, and it can't be worse than the original, which by the way is SOOO overrated by horror fans that it's ridiculous! I'm all for old school horror, but Prom Night was just a disappointment.

The reason "horror" movies are being made into PG-13 is so it will take in more money because little kids can get in.

The only good PG-13 remake would have to be The eye. Because it wasn't trying to be scary just a thriller. Even when it did provide scares it was thrilling. But that was average.

horrorchick81

this remake looks so stupid. i mean come on PG 13 so that the stupid little teeny boppers can see this movie and say oooo this was sooo scary....gag me long live all the original movies. (Only remake actually liked was tcm but that was all)

horrorguy88

Im not about to judge this movie because its PG-13.

The origianl prom night was the most boriest movie ever, the remake will be hot esp since their is a unrated dvd coming out for it. The eye was really a good pg13 movie.

horrorfreak912

slap you, can you name me five good rated r horror movies recently, as in the last two years.

slapyou
8:25pm, April 6, 2008

28 Weeks Later, Frontiere(s), The Mist, Inside, Severance, Slither, The Descent (made in '05, but released in '06), The Signal, Bug, Grindhouse (Planet Terror), 30 Days Of Night, Behind The Mask, Hatchet, The Orphanage, The Hills Have Eyes, [REC], blah blah blah.....Do you need any more?

slapyou

Trust me bud, I wouldn't have made the argument against PG-13 horror if I didn't have one for R-rated horror.

A PG-13 slasher movie?? Not a chance in hell im putting my money down on this.

horrorfreak912
12:01am, April 7, 2008

See, i only agree with you on a couple of those movies. It comes down to opinion. The only movies I liked out of those were Grindhouse(Death Proof), The Descent, 30 days of night, and The Hills have Eyes. All the other movies were horrible.
