Bloody-Disgusting learned exclusively this afternoon that Kevin Munroe (TMNT) has official signed on to direct Dylan Dog, the adaptation of the Italian comic book brought here to the States by Dark Horse Comics. In addition, we were also informed that Brandon Routh (Superman) has now officially signed on to topline, after being previously reported as in talks. In case you were wondering, this does in fact mean that Munroe will NOT be directing GATCHAMAN for the Weinstein Company. Dylan Dog is a penniless nightmare investigator who defies the whole preceding horror tradition with a vein of surrealism and an anti-bourgeois rhetoric. The true monsters in many of these stories are human beings. Shooting begins this July in Toronto, Canada for Hyde Park.
Franseco Dellmortta or however the fuck you spell it, was a character in the Dylan Dog comics if I'm not mistaken, but in a since has nothing to do with Dylan Dog himself.
