this movie blew. REDICIOUSLY HARD. seriuosly - they aren't zombies, they are mutants. ANd they can climb walls, and walk on ceilings. LIGHTNING FAST!

Worst horror, no worst movie EVER made. How anyone enjoyed this, even for fun is beyond me. Utter trash cashing in on a well known name. Beared no resemblence to the original at all. Zombies defying gravity indeed!!!

I agree, just watched this last night and I didn't have any hopes, but OMG, what a piece of shit movie. No wonder it went straight to DVD. This was horrid and Day was so much better and deserved so much better than what this movie offered.

well sorry to say, i DID enjoy this movie. i agree that it shouldn't have been called DoftheD. but it's a fun action zombie/infection movie. you guys have to remember people have different tastes in movies. i love GRomero zombie movies AND i liked this movie.

Actually wasn't nearly as bad as everyone made out...still a flat out rape of a classic movie...in fact if it hadn't been called Day of the Dead....I would give it 2.5/3 skulls. The fact that IS CALLED Day of the Dead pisses me off though...

Sigh, I was really looking forward to this movie, now that I have seen what others have said about the movie guess I'll not even bother. Oh well, almost all direct to video releases are pretty bad.

What the fuck happened? 'Dawn of the Dead' remake owned the box office and looked like it was set to become a lucrative franchise. Instead, they hand the reigns over to Steve fucking Miner and put it out on DVD? Look, I'll always have love for Miner because he brought us 'Friday the 13th 2 and 3', and 'House'... but the dude isn't a very talented filmmaker. He's Mr. Point-and-shoot then cash the check guy. This to me is heartbreaking because it's a missed opportunity. This could have been a wonderful follow-up to 'Dawn'. The studio should have gone out and found the next Zach Snyder to helm it and given it a decent cast. FUCK THIS MOVIE.

I think that was some good gore effects. I'll give it a try. I will just see it as a stand alone film. not a remake, as a remake it sucks. but as a stand alone film it will prob be good. Come on guys at least it isn't that ESP shit in DAY OF THE DEAD 2 contagium what a piece of shit that was

Hey "Deathmatch Fan", I agree with all this remake BS. Can't Hollywood come up with anything original anymore? Oh wait, I think I just answered my own damn question........the answer is NO!!!!! Judging from that short clip, this movie looks like it will blow. I have to admit though, as much of a fan as I am of the original "Dawn of the Dead", I really liked the remake. I just don't see the same result coming from this movie. Maybe I'm wrong though. More than likely, I will NOT be viewing this movie anytime soon.

I just read on the internet that the remakes HAVE in fact killed the classics and the studios that own the rights to to the classics have all banded togther and are pulling DVDs of every movie ever remade or in the planning stages of being remade. Also they are planning a mass market buy back for all these movies that are in cirulation already. Do a search and you can find the addresses where you are supposed to send your old movies to. They will either send you a copy of the renmake or a coupon to redeam when the remake is made. Get on now while there's still copies and coupons left!

Just found out that the above does not count toward foreign movies that have been remade or are in the planning stages. Too bad. I was really hoping to get a copy of Grudge 2: the American version for my original. Damn it to hell!

Oh.My.God. I haven't seen this movie, but if I judge by this clip (and horrendous poster), I am NOT wasting my time watching it. I'll stay with the original, thank you very much...

Hahahaha!!! Why the f¤#k call the movie Day of the dead and present it as a remake of Romeros masterpiece? Because more people will se the movie!!! The movie looks pretty nice, BUT don´t compare i with Romero´s movie. As a horror fan i will see the movie, and I will see it with new eyes...

It's not good, it's not bad. It's... average. Watched it yesterday, and can barely remember anything interesting. Then again, I can also barely remember anything really bad. Nice, but... yeah. Not the original, and not something new and exciting and well-made either.

I just don't know why they keep remaking zombie movies. It is basically the same. The last great zombie movie was Dawn of the Dead remake. Land of the Dead was ok. This I didn't like at all because it was just the same footage we saw in different movies with a few changes. If you are familiar with such zombie flicks as Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead etc. Than you might want to think this movie over. If you want to see it than I suggest a rental.

This is horrible, I am sick of seeing csi like inside the body imaging. Zombie's don't just turn their appearance so quick either they aren't Vampires damnit.
