The release of The Serial Killer Collection will coincide with Lionsgate's DVD release of Raising Jeffrey Dahmer, a fascinating look at Jeffrey Dahmer's life beginning with his early years. Read on for more details on each release.
Ulli Lommel's Zodiac Killer Synopsis: Michael works at a nursing home and is growing tired of people who neglect caring for their elderly relatives. He reads a book by Simon Vale about the Zodiac killer, and it inspires him to go on a killing spree. Michael claims Zodiac's title and targets those who mistreat the elderly. The only person who suspects Michael is Vale, and he plans to use Michael's scheme as the subject for the latest revision of his book on the Zodiac killings.
Ulli Lommel's Black Dahlia Synopsis: Three copycat killers in Los Angeles go on a killing spree fashioned after the Black Dahlia murder of 1947. After luring female actresses into their warehouse for a movie audition, the trio kills them, leaving their dismembered bodies around LA. Attempts to stop them are made by the local police, especially one rookie who is determined to get to the bottom of this killing spree, as well as the initial murder of Elizabeth Short which happened 60 years prior.
Ulli Lommel's Green River Killer Synopsis: Travel back in time to investigate one of the most brutal tales in the annals of true crime in this cinematic investigation into the murderous crimes of serial killer Gary Ridgeway (aka The Green River Killer). In the early 1980s, the citizens of Seattle and Tacoma, Washington lived in constant fear as the specter of death loomed in every shadow. With nearly 50 victims to his name, The Green River Killer was one of the most feared serial killers in modern history, his horrific crimes lingering in the minds of his victims' families even after his arrest. Now, Ridgeway's story comes to life to frighten those who remember the chilling headlines relating to his crimes and offers greater insight into the demented mind of a madman.
Hmm. Didn't I see Ulli Lommel's BTK Killer movie? And wasn't it mostly just him and some chick peeing on a severed pigs head with birthday candles shoved into its eyes? I missed that part in Dennis Raiders police inquiry. And shouldn't the "Serial Killer Collection" Contain some movies pertaining to serial killers? Not copycats? And speculation? Just saying.
For the most part I love Lionsgate and there stuff. But c'mon - what the fuck is this shit? I was just getting over them cutting the original ending from The Descent's theatrical release (the original ending is better, just except it), now they do this shit. Who is this Ulli Lommel and who did he blow to get his job? They should have had him make the Prom Night remake; keep all the crap together.
I rarely comment on anything but how much did they pay you guys to compromise your integrity? 'Terrifying?' Wouldn't it have been worth not getting the promo $$ to say this is the single worst box set ever released in the history of eternity?
I have to agree with CNizz.
Every one of these films is absolutely horrible.
I'd rather take $50 bucks and wipe my ass with it then even think once, let alone twice, about getting this.
Three terrifying films.....Three heartpounding films....BWAHAAHAAHAAHAAHAA yeah, they are terrifyingly BAD, and your heart will be pounding with laughter at them. Please, what an embarrassment. I am starting to wonder if Ulli Lommel and Ewe Boll are father and son?
