We learned today that the sequel to 1996 teen witch movie, THE CRAFT, is officially dead in the water. Don't keep your hopes up on seeing a sequel anytime soon. In the first film a newcomer to a Catholic prep high school falls in with a trio of outcast teenage girls who practice witchcraft and they all soon conjure up various spells and curses against those who even slightly anger them. We'll keep you posted if anything changes.
It was pretty awesome to see Neve Campbell, Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk and Rachel True together. I would actually like to see a sequel too, even if they weren't in it (although you'd hope they would be).
i liked the craft been loong time since i seent hat movie. would of been cool to see a sequel with all four returning, but taken place like ten years later. oh well another sequel in development hell bites the dust.
I agree with some of the others--too much time has past and the originals would not be in it. A Wiccan movie would be cool though, in some way shape or form.
This will not be a true sequel unless Fairuza Balk definitely starred in it. She was the life and soul of the original film.
I doubt they'll find a better actress than her to deliver the dark, psychotic elements of the film.
Fairuza RULES!!!! Too bad that she doesn't do a lot of movies. Talent and charisma like hers shouldn't go to waste. She deserves a freakin Oscar or something.
I hope they make a sequel to see what happened in the future to the characters to The Craft. The Craft 2 should be made.
