I read this article last week when BC sent it over to me and I refused to believe it, I actually blocked it out of my head. The Onion posted an (real) interview with Trey Parker and Matt Stone - the madmen behind "South Park" - where they had some really disheartening news. "We’re not really doing much with movies right now,” Stone tells the site. “We’re kind of just concentrating on the TV show. Movies are hard…and I don’t want to do ’em any more. If you’re gonna do a movie, you’d better be damn sure you want to do that movie, because it’s gonna suck to make.” But the real odd part of the story is that Parker and Stone are interviewed separately... after twelve seasons together could this unstoppable duo be finished? Let us all pray.
Why, pray tell, would I pray for them to be finished? Yes, nothing makes the fanboy in me happier than seeing a lifelong friendship and insanely successful business collaboration come to an end because I personally don't care for the product being produced! I enjoy SOUTH PARK and their films very much, but even if I didn't, I can't imagine being a petty douchebag and praying that they've had some sort of falling out. I guess it's just a perspective thing.
Obviously if I misread the article, I retract my previous outburst of sarcastic venom, and apologize profusely. You can see how I might have misinterpreted, though.
yeah, lookin back on it myself, it could be taken either way, haha
