During an interview on Maximum Threshold Radio, Sheri Moon Zombie confirmed that she will have a role in Rob Zombie's Tyrannosaurus Rex, which is slated for an August 2009 release through Dimension Films. When asked if it will be a horror flick she replied, "No, it's not a horror flick." When pushing for any sort of lead they asked her if it'll be an epic '70s type flick, to which she replied, "It, it may be..." Watch for more news as it develops. Thanks to B-D reader 'Andrew' for the heads up.
Hey Mr. D remember how you locked my fucking Rob zombies movie is a Biographical recreation flick about the Rock band "T. Rex" known as the original Glam Rock band- Credited for inspiring other Glam rockers like Kiss,Alice Cooper, David Bowie, Gary Glitter, Rob Halford, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie and many more. They had that one smash hit "Bang A Gong" song... Remember how you locked that fucking thread up!!!! I'm so gonna love watching you wipe that Fucking Egg off your face when it turns out I was right all along!
Well, if Uwe Boll keeps getting money to make movies, why not Rob Zombie. I'd rather shave with Magic Johnson's razor than watch another Rob Zombie movie!
Wait, let me guess- tomorrow's big news is gonna be "BIll Moseley to star in Rob Zombie's 'T-Rex'"...and then "Sid Haig has a big role in T-Rex" and oh wait, "the story will revolve around a white trash family that gets FUCKING EATEN by a T-Rex, yet still manage to spew obscenities every 8 seconds." Man, who saw this coming...
Who cares??? Rob isn't the only filmmaker to cast the same people. Carpenter did that a lot. John Hughes, Scorsese, Hitchcock, Kevin Smith. How is that ok, but when Rob does it suddenly it's bad? Carpenter casted his wife in The Fog and Escape from New York. Don't be hypocrites and blast Rob for doing what many other filmmakers do.
Yeah, I think its ok to recast SOME of the same actors, but Halloween had EVERY SINGLE ACTOR from his dam movies in it!!!!! Does Rob Zombie not know how to cast different people?? Anyways, I am done with his films. I used to think he had a good chance of being a great filmmaker... he calls himself a horror fan, yet spits in our faces by remaking Halloween!
Ghost of Lugosi, Rob isn't as talented as those you named. They, I see, at least have the right to cast a lot of the same people. Zombie seems like he ONLY casts his own regime. And that IS the problem. Look at the great deal of movies done by Carpenter, Hughs, Scorsese, Hitchcock and Smith. There is a good deal of variety in their movies for it not to be a problem. Had Carpenter cast Adrienne Barbeau in Halloween, Christine, Prince of Darkness, and such, then we'd make it an issue. I mean, it's not like Molly Ringwald starred in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Curly Sue or Home Alone. Zombie, however, only sticks with his peeps. Maybe we might see a fresh face nobody, but the bulk of the cast is his peeps, with his wife always as the stripper/hoochie mama.
who cares about talent? It's not about that. It's stupid to bash Rob for what other filmmakers often do. He's got his core of actors he works well with so who cares? Bill Moseley is very undderrated and desrves the work. Everyone bashes filmmakers for CW casting, but when someone like Rob casts more cult actors he gets bashed.
The only thing Rob Zombie has given the entertainment industry that has any worth was White Zombie. Thats it. I am a huge white zombie fan, so I do respect his creative ideas. His film career is ok at best, and the fact that he sidelined something he was good at (music) to do this garbage really showed on his last album which was complete crap.
ZOMBIE, go back to making kick ass monster music instead of making really crappy monster movies!
I think Rob Zombie's movies are very good. I liked the 1,000 corpses and devils rejects, aswell as Halloween. These movies are more directed at cult viewers. They werent big budget and werent aimed at the masses. Had his own distinct style of directing and stuck with it. So, Im looking forward to seeing what this movie will actually be like, instead of seeing negative responses. I dont agree you can slate a film, just because the previous movies werent to anyones liking, especially before anyone has even seen the film yet.
I think rob zombie needs to quit. His wife is not that good of an actress or a good looking woman. That couple needs to quit with the white trash bullshit they keep putting on the big screen!

Commenting on a filmmaker that you don't give a shit about and despise is a waste of your time. Do you not have better things to do? You actually have to open the article that has somewhere in its title that it is going to be about Rob Zombie or his movies. Why even waste your time opening it? If you don't like him then don't worry about him. Don't waste your time. It is common sense. Now....with that said. Rob Zombie is the best horror filmmaker that has come up since Carpenter and Hitchcock's time. His creativity that he brought from White Zombie is shown in his work. He is very passionate about his films and that is obvious. House of 1000, TDR, Halloween 07, will one day be classics that future generations will look back on and use to compare to movies in their era. I praise and admire what Rob does and wish I had the ability to do it. His cast in every movie fits perfectly. I hope he continues to cast the same way. SMZ, Bill Moseley, Sid Haig, William Forsthye, etc have set the bar for future actor/actresses that want to tap into this genre. They all are very talented and have not nearly been given the recognition they deserve. El Superbeasto, TRex and what ever else comes next will be great and will keep raising the bar. So for all you out there that like to waste your time talking trash about Rob, BRING IT.
ok...just because Carpenter put his wife / girlfriend in like,2 of his movies doesnt mean we gotta compare him to Mr "zombie"-who has and will continue to cast his own lil fuc* doll in EVERY movie he does....otherwise that fat inbreed redneck retard Sid Haig will go broke and blow "zombie" for free...
The fact that anyone could actually believe anything directed by Rob Zombie will ever been considered a classic outside of a hot topic merch cash in, is the reason why we have to suffer through really horrible movies these days. Trust me in 10 years time 1000 corpses will still only be remember as a texas chainsaw rip off.
You would know about "fat inbreed redneck retards" wouldn't you! Why don't you go jack off to some of your mother's pictures, I mean isn't that what inbreds do? Go Fuck yourself!!!!
Ha. I wrote the worst short story ever in middle school about a killer who uses a monster truck named "Tyrannosaurus" to get his victims (C'mon, I was in eigth grade). If this is about a monster truck I'm suing.
Zombie has one classic under his belt, that being The Devil's Rejects. But the other two...?! Ambitious failures, in my book. And if he doesn't get over that juvenile preoccupation with endless verbal profanity, his films will continue to be saddled with insufferable dialogue -- his most glaring defficiency, at this point.
Who knows, maybe a project outside the horror genre might encourage some growth. But his current batting average -- 1 out of 3 -- doesn't exactly bode well for future efforts. I fully appreciate the fact that he's one of us, a diehard horror afficianado. But there are only so many lame films one can sit through, regardless of a director's enthusiasn for the genre.
