We discovered that Celador Films and Pathe International have plans to take Neil Marshall's The Descent franchise further. In a recent casting call for The De2cent that hit our fax machine, we discovered that they are casting the role of DEPUTY ELLEN RIOS, who needs to be Latina, early to mid 30’s, Vaines’ long-suffering sidekick is of Hispanic origin, around thirty years old. The kicker? The winner of this role scores a two-picture deal! Get ready for a third trip into the caves - maybe it'll be called The De3cent? Jon Harris is attached to direct the sequel, which is based on a screenplay by creator Neil Marshall & James Watkins. Shooting begins this May in London, England.

They're going to run this into the ground, aren't they? Why can't a good idea just be left alone these days? Instead they crap out the worst sequels possible just to make another buck. Why not take some time and get a screenplay that furthers the story, instead of just more of the same? Shoot for an Aliens experience, not a Grudge 2.

Exactly Ultrazilla, I can only imagine what they would do to films like 'The Thing' if they were made today. "You mean it bombed? But doesn't it have a strong cult following? Hell, they must want about four or five sequels, yeah?! Hell, let's make 'em!"

Seeing as Neil Marshall is involved it might be good I mean Danny Bolye produced the sequel 28 weeks later and Jon Harris worked on the first one so, it could be good be i'd prefer just a trilogy, not a huge series like Saw, thats way better.
