Today two unused theatrical posters were released for the remake of Day of the Dead, which arrives on DVD April 8. The original follows a group of scientists and military personnel holed up in an underground bunker because the world above is overrun with zombies. The lumbering flesheaters eventually find a way in and wreak havoc on the scientists who've been experimenting on their undead brethren.
I actually see both Land of the Dead AND Dawn of the Dead influences in the two of them ... too bad the movie is direct to DVD and doomed to be shitty.
i really like BOTH these posters!! very cool. i know i'm in the minority here, but this movie was great. it's a fun, not-so-much-zombie-rather-infection, action film. although, having virtually nothing to do w/ the original (i mean NOTHING!LOL), it should have been called something else.
They're good posters but they sell the movie to be more hardcore, and it's not. It's a fun zombie movie. The DVD art is more in line with the film's tone.

Well, that sucks, becuase I thought the DVD art sucked!
The second one isn't that bad and could actually convince me to watch this. But I doubt it will be as good as Gun and Snyder's Dawn of the Dead Remake.
if anyone hasn't seen the movie though please avoid avoid avoid.

A smiling zombie?....a friggin smiling zombie??!!!! I think it's about time Hollywood takes a break from the zombie genre....I can't take another crap fest attempt.
Well these two posters are better than the movie was that is for sure, I am not really sure they even called this movie day of the dead It is hardly anything like the original.
Just how stupid does Hollywood think we are? I mean, I do realise that there are idiots out there who go to movies the same way that undecided and last minute voters go to polls, but they can't really think every one of us is a sleeping and blind autistic, can they?
This movie seriously sucked and was an embarrassment to the original. It should have been called Nick Cannon's Zombie Adventure. Zombies have superhuman strength, are crawling on walls like spiderman, eat another zombie, and pretty much break all the rules the great George A. Romero set in place for his movies. Not saying that the Dawn remake didnt, but that one was much more of a homage to Romero's. I strongly feel the makers of this film should walk onto a highway in front of a semi.
I'd definitely use these as toilet paper to wipe with. This movie was fucking HORRIBLE. I wouldn't even recommend this a joke.(you know the one that you tell your friend that this is the best movie and you wait for that phone call telling you that you are an asshole for putting him/her through that). This movie does for Zombie films what GW Bush has done to our country. Fucking Ruined IT.
