If there's one comic property to pay attention to, it would have to be Todd Lincoln and Devil's Due's HACK/SLASH, which Rogue Films is prepping to adapt as a major motion picture with Lincoln attached to direct (come on guys, hurry up!) If you're not familiar with the popular comic series, this is your chance to jump into the fold. Arriving at retailers this Wednesday, March 19 is HACK/SLASH OMNIBUS - the gargantuan collection of Devil's Due's best known title packed with hundreds of pages of stories and bonus content! Read on for more info.

The HACK/SLASH OMNIBUS brings together all of the one-shots preceding the HACK/SLASH ongoing series, as well as the miniseries THE LAND OF LOST TOYS. The new definitive collection of Tim Seeley's original comic book series about a slasher movie survivor turned huntress also contains an inside look at the 2005 live HACK/SLASH play. The book includes story artwork by original HACK/SLASH artist Stefano Caselli, Frederica Manfredi, Steve Seeley, and others. This sounds like an awesome concept. I would love to see a film with this premise.

ok you wrong MrDisgusting I have been reading the comic from the beging. Cassy Hack is not a slasher movie survivor turned huntress. She was the dauter of a lunch lady who murrdered the kids who mad fun of her. Thats how it started please get your facts right.

Lonely daughter of a slasher called the "Lunch Lady", Cassandra Hack grew as the typical ugly duckling. Her father left her and her mother when she was young forming a deep bond between the two of them. A timid wallflower, plain-looking and unattractive, young Cassandra was verbally and physically abused from her classmates, never having a friend, ostracized because she wasn't pretty, poor and ill-dressed, prompting her unbalanced mother, the "Lunch Lady" (the cook at her school), to kill every child at Cassie's school that has somehow hurt or insulted Cassie and serve it in the school food. Cassie, witnessing her last killing spree, promptly called the police. She managed to save the life of her mother's last victim, but was forced to witness her mother's death when she committed suicide. Her mother returned to life as a slasher forcing Cassie to kill her once again. Some years later, now grown into an attractive yet tough-as-nails fearless loudmouth, she started traveling alone throughout America, armed with her bad attitude and a baseball bat hunting slashers. Pursuing the "Meatman Killer", she attacked Vlad thinking he was the slasher. Realizing her mistake together they hunted down and killed the real slasher. She then proposed he travel with her, in time considering him her only friend and confidante.

Look for a major crossover with the characters of the BUMP film starring Tobin Bell in issues 12 and 13 of HACK/SLASH, out this May and June. The crossover was written by BUMP creator Mark Kidwell and drawn by H/S creator Tim Seeley. This will be the first time Tim has drawn his own creations in the series.

This book is so amazing. I never miss it! I'm excited about getting the omnibus so I can have everything all in one awesome book. When is the movie coming out? There's been talk forever. The fans have been waiting too long! Give us what we want!

Agreed, this comic series rocks! I seriously cannot wait until the film comes around, as long as it stays true and isn't screwed like 'Spawn' was. I'm also hoping we will get a movie adaptation of 'The Darkness' comics (they already made a damn good video game out of it).

Hey Spike, did you read your synopsis? If you haven't then you should, because you have jsut described a slasher survivor turned huntress.
