The Rejects Reunite in 'El Superbeasto' Cartoon

Rob Zombie reports on his official MySpace blog that Sid Haig and Bill Moseley have joined the cast of his animated feature film, El Superbeasto. Who will they be playing? How about Captain Spaulding and Otis from House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects?! The 2-D animated comedy, based on the Spookshow International comic book "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto" created by Zombie, follows the exploits of a washed-up Mexican wrestler, El Superbeasto, in the mythic world of Monsterland. Also, I;m not sure how true this is, but IMDB lists the distributor for the film as Anchor Bay.

i wouldn't say its Zombie going to the well, more of Zombie going to his friends. I mean, if you have these two characters that appear in the book and they've already been portayed in a movie by somebody, and those people aren't dead, why wouldn't you get them to play them? To me, its just commom sense to get Sid and Bill to play Otis and the Captain. Can't wait to see it.

Man, I think it's great that Zombie's picked a new direction to go in after casting these folks. I hope they all get along and work well so hopefully they can collaborate on a future project(s). Puke.

What is really the point of making this nc-17 cartoon? It will be nc-17 if you hadn't guessed by now but anyway I think he should start working on T-rex aka the nail. Anyway I think that would be more interesting than this cartoon. But I loved Rejects so I am a little glad that otis and spaulding are back but it is getting old.

I think Baby is in it, or at least there's a blonde voiced by Sheri, I've seen some pics of her already. We all knew Spaulding was in it, his pics have been around for a while, great to know Otis is in it. You knew the family would show up in one way or another. I'm really looking forward to this. But how exactly is this getting old? You're a "halloween fan" which the original series had two good films and six horrid sequels. The Firefly clan will now have been in a whopping 3 films together.. one of which is going to be animated. So how is that "old" already? Put things into perspective.

He isn't directing this, he's just producing it so he maybe able to do T-Rex while doing El Superbeasto. Personally, I hope he hurries up with Werewolf Women of the SS!

Man I thought this was way farther along in production. Like finished and awaiting a distributor.
