In a recent interview with Boston.com to promote her upcoming film SLEEPWALKING, it was revealed that Charlize Theron is set to produce and star in a remake of Park Chan-wook's astounding Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, which is now on DVD as Lady Vengeance from Tartan Films. No other details were revealed. Only time will tell if this gets off the ground as the OLDBOY remake has fallen through the cracks. Lee Geum-Ja, at the age of 19, goes to prison for the murder and abduction of a child on behalf of her accomplice Mr. Baek, only to find out that she is betrayed. While in prison, she carefully prepares for her revenge by winning the hearts of her fellow inmates with her kindness, thus earning herself the nickname 'kind Ms. Geum-Ja'. Upon her release from prison after 13 years, she finally sets out to seek revenge on Baek, with the help of her former prison mates.

Oh, Charlize. I just lost some of the respect I had for you.

What?!?!? I mean, Charlize can definitely pull it off, but remaking the almost perfect movie is completely unnecessary.

Charlize Theron! Yes!!! Remake, ok... of Lady Vengence, what the f-!!! Arggg! Oh well, I guess it was destined to happen. Before we know it, they'll remake Oldboy... God, what a sad day that will be.

Glad to hear the Oldboy remake has fallen off the radar...for now, at least.

I love Charlize but this doesn't need a remake. Leave it alone!

This movie just came out...what? A couple years ago? Do we really need a re-make this damned soon?

Hey Charlize, it's been at least 4 years since you signed on to produce and star in Jinx. I suggest doing that one instead.
