Although this is yet to be confirmed, Dread Central reports that the long delayed Kill Theory is getting a firm September release date later this month with plans on releasing the film in 2,450+ theaters (which sounds incredibly suspicious to me). They also report that the trailer for Lionsgate's film is said to be attached to Paramount's THE RUINS on April 4. Nothing is confirmed, but we'll let you know when something is solid. The film revolves around a group of close friends who visit a remote vacation home to celebrate their college graduation. While there, they are put to a horrifying test by a mysterious killer who forces them into a game where they have to kill each other in order to survive.
That's a lot of theaters, I'd be surprised too. If the trailer is with The Ruins I'd guess they are shooting for May release date maybe? Last I heard was post-Summer, but that might have changed.
Dread Central reports September...they have lots of time to promote. And it's also most likely NOT with The Ruins, but with MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN in May, another Lionsgate horror.
That doesn't really sound like Saw at all Hoofbite. But it is a shameless ripoff of Battle Royale.
