Terrible New Poster For 'Shutter' Remake

Today one of the worst posters I've seen in a long while hit the web and it's for 20th Century Fox's remake of Shutter, which arrives in theaters March 21. The original is one of the best Asian horror films ever made, and I only pray that the remake captures some of the originals scares. Read on for a look at the poster and watch for a review soon. A newly married couple discovers disturbing, ghostly images in photographs they develop after a tragic accident. Fearing the manifestations may be connected, they investigate and learn that some mysteries are better left unsolved.

It's ALMOST worse than the Doomsday poster. I should do a video of me roasting these posters... it's aggravating to me that these get approved.

Awful poster and the movie looks also horrible. I enjoyed the original but find it a little overrated. Has there been a real trailer for this one yet? Not counting the horrible teaser trailer.

I'd say the skull is bad, but the movie looks interesting though it does seem like a rip off of What lies beneath

Oh dear. What an awful, awful poster. She looks completely mad standing there in nothing but a t-shirt smiling at nothing. The line "revenge never dies" is really bad too, it's the sort of thing you see on a bad photoshop creation made by a 13 year old. I think I'll check out the original and leave this horribly marketed mess well alone...

Let's see... It tells me virtually nothing about the film, the generic ad slogan is larger than the film title, the girl doesn't appear to be either frightened or in jeopardy, and has almost no visual punch or power. Definitely one of the least effective movie posters I've ever seen, and very reminiscent of a direct-to-video DVD cover. The people who created and approved this should be fired, or at least have the word "marketing" (which is supposed to involve making consumers want to see a film) removed from their job titles. Ugh.

Considering Joshua Jackson is the lead in this film and is the biggest name, why on earth isn't either his name or face included on the poster? Instead, they have some interchangable unknown blonde in front of a bland background which tells us absolutely nothing about the plot or what to expect from the film.

Lets add this to the pile of crappy pg-13 remake ghost movies that suck, I'll pass thank you

It would make great toilet paper.
