Variety confirms that both Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan earning high six figures for scripting the Hellraiser remake for Dimension Films. The writers will be working on a hair-raising deadline with French filmmakers Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo (Inside) planning a spring start for the redo of the 1987 Clive Barker film. They will do a page-one rewrite from the set of Midnight Man, which the duo scripted that Dimension film with Dunstan behind the camera. The original pic, which introduced the now-iconic Cenobite torturer Pinhead, follows a man and wife living in an old house who are caught up in machinations by the man's brother, a Cenobite torture victim, to rejuvenate his skinless body from the carcasses of fresh victims.
