Oh man this looks so amazing. Thora Birch looking bored in Pic 1, and Thora Birch looking bored in Pic 2. Incredible, I predict a 70 million opening weekend.

This is no longer a remake.

Yeah. Unless you're working from a pre-existing source (a novel, play, etc.), you pretty much lose your "remake" status when you change the title and the plot. In the history of bad marketing decisions, purchasing the rights to a middle-of-the-road '80s slasher flick for a remake and then using a different title is right there at the top. With no name recognition value for the hardcore slasher film fans and a story unlikely to entice anyone else into the theaters, this TRAIN is doomed to failure before it leaves the station.

Now that I think about it, they should change the name again. Might I suggest TURD?

Does Thora Birch age? She looks even younger than she did in American Beauty.

when will hollywood realize that remakes of classic horror movies is pointless. these classics are great for there period , not to be remade. lol. the only real remake that was good was tcm. and it was done smartly keeping in touch with the original while updating the content. whats the point of making a horror film hollywood when you take out all the horror and what makes it good. arrghhhhhh........XD

The original with Jamie Lee Curtis is awesome. Hopefully they wont mess with the script too much. The original idea was a great story of revenge against cruel pranksters. I'm not so sure about the European trip aspect. But what the hell, I'll give it a shot and see it out of curiosity. I would add that The Hills Have Eyes and the Dawn of the Dead remakes were pretty good.
