It was announced today that David Fincher is now attached to direct Black Hole for Paramount Pictures, which originally had Alex Aja at the helm. The project, which is based on Charles Burns' graphic novel "Black Hole," was set up at MTV Films but will now be developed at the parent studio. The story kicks off when a sexually transmitted "bug" is passed from teenager to teenager. Roger Avary and Neil Gaiman were tapped to adapt the screenplay in March 2006. Fincher most recently helmed "Zodiac" for the Paramount.
What happened with Aja???
He shouldn't have taken that remake..
why are promising young filmmakers taking remakes anyhow???
the washed up and/or talentless ones should get all of those..
Yep, Aja needed to stay on this instead of doing the unnecessary Piranha remake. But that said, the film will probably be even better with Fincher at the helm.
Black Hole is an amazing work, I think Fincher is the best guy for the job.
