This afternoon Maverick Entertainment sent us details on their forthcoming DVD release, THE SLASHER SERIES VOLUME 1, which features two horror films for the suggested retail price of $16.98. Arriving on DVD May 20 are both DARKEST HOUR and DARKWORLD, both for a single DVD price. Read on for the cover art and details on each film.

Years ago, a sleepy town was terrorized by the North Bend Reaper. Despite a massive manhunt, the Reaper was never found. Has the Reaper come back for one last dance with death?

Mankind has long been caught in the struggle between good and evil. For a young girl named Fallon, her struggle is just beginning. When she is sent to kill her own sister she is flooded with memories of life before death and vows to fight the devil’s minion to protect her sister from her terrible fate.
