We're all patiently waiting for Lionsgate to announce a release date for Darren Lynn Bousman's horror-musical, Repo! The Genetic Opera, but until we can get a date he needs to finish the film! Today he updated the progress of the film via MySpace, while also sharing some new art for the film. Read on for the skinny.
Director Darren Lynn Bousman writes on his blog:
"This morning was the single most exciting part of the REPO post thus far... THE DI color grading for the film... I was finally able to dial in the look I want for REPO... There is a hyper stylized look I am trying to accomplish - and this morning I SAW it come to life!
So - I need to address why I haven't been updating on REPO for a while - and overall the STATUS of where we are at...
Last week I spoke with bloody-disgusting.com about the status of repo... Here is what was said...
So hope that clears some stuff up... This film has become my life... my blood and tears going into it... I need to make sure EVERYTHING is not just right -- BUT PERFECT!!!!
Well, enough talking - back to coloring the movie!!!

You're right. They did announce a release date. It was at the end of the trailer, 4.25.08. Is this a mistake on the part of bloody-disgusting, or did they actually change the release date?
That poster is fucking mint, I'm very interested in seeing how this pans out.
