L= a teenage detective that is world known who much like light is very intelligent and the letter "L" is his real first legal name according to the guide Death Note 13"How to Read".... Light(Raito)=KIRA(directly translated version of the word Killer in japanese) who at first is a bored school kid who's very smart finds a pretty note book dropped by the death god(not excatly a demon but actually praised as a god or the figure of the grim reaper) that allows the person who ever writes a persons name down and has a good clear picture of what the person looks like to kill that person. If nothing is written in 40 seconds after the name the person will die of a heart attack if something is written the writer(and it HAS to be hand written) has an extra 3 minutes and 40 seconds to write the cause of death if it's impossible for the person to die that way at the time specified,(mainly because they got to another time zone where that time has passed or some one suddenly dying of Cancer or a kill over time disease they never had) of the written cause, they will suddenly die of a heart attack unless of course you put it over a time period.... Death god(Ryku, the death god, is the monster featured in the pic)= pretty much immortal creature and the owner of the death notes and any human who touches a death note is able to see the owner if the owner is in the current area of that human or the death god choose to follow that person. the death note is tied directly to the death gods life span the more kills before the persons real life span ends the more they add on to there own life. they have gender which usually in never physically distinguishable but by voice patterns. they can't sexually reproduce for only a few are allowed to live at a time. an death god must not interfere if a humans life span is near it's natural end if they do they will disapper into something worst then sand,rust or dust and their lifespans will be added on to the human life they saved. Oh yeah death note=mystery, drama not horror and Raito only kills people who commit crimes and those who get in his way after they are warned to stay out of his way and hates to see innocent people die.

and something that sucks about the humans who use the death note WHEN(they are not invincible and even making a deal with the death gods that allow them to see peoples life spans and real names at the cost of half of their remaining life span of course all this information is told to the person before the deal, the death god way.) they die they can NOT go to heaven or hell and so far it's seen that only one death note user has been reborn as a death god which was Raito at the end of the director's cut special Ryku tells a newbie Death god the story of raito summed up into about 5 minutes(minus most of the twist and tricks of the series) and as the newbie flies alway he says "Isn't that right Raito(light)" and it ends right there
