When Hasbro firs revealed their toy based on the Cloverfield monster, we thought it was pretty cool, but it also looked like it was missing that "special something." Today Hasbro unveiled the toy at the New York Toy Fair and Figures.com was on hand taking hundreds of photos. Inside you'll find a look at the accessories that come with the beast, like the Statue of Liberty's head and a changeable head for the monster - too bad the giant buildings don't come with it (I don't think).
It didn't have middle limbs everybody is just basing their opinion on sketches they've seen and not from the footage in the film which is probably directly where they got this from
I still think it's just "Meh". Not like I buy toys anyway. But I guess I'm just really disappointed with the creature now that I've got this really good look at it.
Is it just me or is the monster a little too...white... I thought it was a darker skinned tone than this in the movie. But other than that OMG- so I'm waisting 100 bucks on the baby.
Yes, I am basing the fact that it does indeed have a second set of middle limbs off of fan sketchs, if a fan sketch is a scene in the actual movie when they are all at the electronic store and Rob is trying to find a cell phone battery and Hud focuses the camera on everyone watching TV in the store, so Hud decides to point the camera at the TV where there is a very clear shot of the monster where it clearly shows a second set of smaller arms.
So, yes I am clearly this is fan art.
Check the photos again people, there are a couple of shots of the monster's torso, you can see the small arms folded against the stomach, they are definatly there.
i like it, never expected a toy but jj said he wanted to make an icon so merch seem like a good plan, though i am sure the critter is darker than this though.
total garbage. Not even close to being worth a $100. Way to skinny just horrible. I guess thats what you get when Hasbro is making it. Should have had a Japanese company make it. They would have put some time and effort into it. Not this run of the mill assembly line garbage.
Damn, but I loved the movie & I want an action figure of the CLOVERFIELD monster, but sh*t, a $100?!! I can't afford that.
So, I'm hoping that once this 'super deluxe" version has sold all it's going to sell, that Hasbro will release a more modestly priced version of it for those of us with significantly less of a "disposable income" to spend on toys.
