International 'Prom Night' Trailer
Saturday, February 16, 2008

Thus far Sony Screen Gems' Prom Night looks like it's going to be one of the worst horror films of 2008, especially with its '90s PG-13 looking scares. Today a new international trailer was found for the film, which carries more footage and more reasons why I think I'll skip out on this one. Donna’s senior prom is supposed to be the best night of her life, one of magic, beauty, and love. Surrounded by her best friends, she should be safe from the horrors of her past. But when the night turns from magic to murder there is only one man who could be responsible…the man she thought was gone forever. Now, Donna and her friends must find a way to escape the sadistic rampage of an obsessed killer, and survive their Prom Night. The film arrives in theaters April 11.

THIS DID NOT COME FROM ME! It came from someone on the IMDb forums... "Ya know, the guy who runs Bloody-Disgusting. To me, he seems like a little bit of a jerk/douche/moron to be honest. I've even seen him on the site post on where users can post, and call the people who use his site morons and such. Yeah...calling the people who use his site morons. Maybe if they said something rude to him I'd understand, but if I remember they weren't really rude but just saying something to him as he was going over the top. Don't get me wrong his site is a great site for horror news, but come on...can't you just give us news instead of just throwing in some hateful comments towards a film you HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN. I also noticed a lot of people post things about him when he posts something a little rude and sometimes Mr. Disgusting just comes back with arrogant remarks. Okay, I know it's your site but still you are supposed to act professional. Now, ever since the RATING of Prom Night has been announced and ever since any new stills, info or trailer and such have come in...he's always negative about it and always bashes the movie before seeing it. I mean it's like he worships the mediocre original, and the funny thing is I think he's only bashing it cause of the rating. He's bashed everything that has come out (stills, trailer) ever since the rating came out. YET...he is still going to see it? You know to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if he sees the movie and comes back with the worst review you can imagine because he's PREPARING to hate the film. It's like he's gonna sit there nitpicking everything about the movie and will completely let it all rip on his website. I just think he contradicts himself. I don't trust the reviews now also, because he claims to have seen a screening of "Amusement", yet there has been nothing about this on like any other website (including IMDB), and he didn't even post a review about it when they usually ALWAYS do. Pshh, I think the guy needs to pull his head out of his ass and stop disrespecting a movie he hasn't even seen and the people who use his site!"

Don't ever talk shit on Brad (Mr. Disgusting) because he knows what hes talking about and knows how to run this site. He's a horror fan like everyone else on here and like everyone else he has his own opinions. That's why I love this site. He's not afraid to tell it like it is. And just because he goes to see movies before they are released doesn't mean that he has to review them the next day. I went to a Screening of Rob Zombies halloween and ran into Brad there and after seeing it he never reviewed it until it's official release months later. Let him run this site as the kick ass horror fan that he is and let him share his opinions like the rest of us. Don't call him unprofessional just because he shares his opinions. WTF is wrong with you people. He gives up horror news literally by the minute and people have to put him down. Brad, don't listen to assholes who post crap like this. Keep doing what your doing!

The person who wrote that nonsense about Mr. Disgusting is just obsessed with Prom Night so I'm not surprised at that. But seriously, this movie does look terrible.

You know, which I wouldn't go so far to call him a jerk, he does do some pretty stupid things like this for example. Sure, it probably won't be that good, but does he have to talk about how much he hates something he hasn't even seen excluding a 2 minute trailer (which really isn't bad at all--the only reason he hates it is because it is PG-13) and a few stills. Same for movies he thinks looks good. He whores it out every chance he gets and talks about how awesome it is. It may be good, but I believe we are in the NEWS section, not the reviews section. I am looking for horror news, which is by definition straight facts about something, no opinions. It is just annoying. And he is, at times, pretty disrespectful to the people on this site whenever their opinion differs from his. If they think something different from you, you act like an adult, be respectful to the people on your site because they are essentially what keeps your site going. So I kind of agree with whoever that was on IMDB. Another thing, who says just because something is R it must be good. And that just because something is PG-13 means it is bad? Just because blood and guts aren't pouring out of the murder victims in this doesn't make it bad. What ever happened to suspense, and genuine scares? While most of the PG-13 horror movies coming out over the course of the past couple years aren't very good, it isn't because of the rating. It is because, simply put, they are poorly made. By the way, where did you see that post on IMDB?

If you hate this movie SO much (which youve never seen) then stop reporting on it and DONT go see it. No ones going to listen to your biased review anyway. So stop wasting your time. I agree with that Nick and the guy on IMDB said. Keep the News, news. I dont care to hear your negative opinions. Or see your mug, so change your avatar. thanks

To GHOSTFACE; I understand what you are saying and it probably isn't fair to judge a movie before we've seen it. Fair enough. It would be really bad if movie critics in newspapers blasted movies they haven't even watched yet. However, those of us who come to this sight aren't movie critics. We are die hard, bloodthirsty horror fans. And this section here is for our opinions. In my opinion it is also not fair that the potential great and original and actually potentially very scary horror movies that play at film festivals typically get nothing but endless delays in release dates and virtually no advertising dollars when they do come out. While these limp dicked, sappy, insults to their originals get carte blanc treatment like they are the cure for cancer. How do we know it will suck you ask? Well, for every Dawn of the Dead remake that we liked, there's a bunch of Black Christmas' and When A Stranger Calls' remakes that make us puke - and not in a good way. So the odds are not real good that it will be good. I realize that great horror movies are mainly about instilling dread and deep fear in the viewer - which the original did very well especially in the long and intense chase scene and killing of Wendy (aka the mean bitch in the red dress). And mabey that scene in today's world could get a PG-13 rating. But the original was still considered a slasher movie. Slasher means blood, like when the guy gets his fucking head chopped off by an axe at the end of the origianl and it rolls in front of the prom kiddies and scares the shit out of them. So now you see Mr GHOSTFACE, what we want is a good scary fucking movie. Something really fucking scary, like so scary it gives us years of emotional problems and we need a head shrink on speed dial because we are so disturbed by it. That's what a good horror movie is supposed to do. Somehow, I don't get the feeling that this shameless attempt at easy money, PG-13, weaker than circus punch, sure to suck dead hampster ass of a movie is going to do that for us. I'm sure the young kids will love it, the rest of us who are patiently waiting for our less gentler versions of horror movies will continue to wait through this crap until the good stuff finally gets to us. You and your remake can take a dump and roll around in it. :)

To Chococat; this is not the fucking News. We are not fucking reporters. Put down the pipe and think about it for a while. Go watch Cannibal Holocaust, it will be good for you.
