With the New York Toy Fair on its way, Hasbro has finally revealed pictures of their Cloverfield (review) monster action figure, which was announced a few weeks back. Read on for three looks at the monster, which looks like it might have been designed wrong (is it me or were the front claws reversed?) The figure will run you a whopping $99, but it looks pretty damn amazing - but it definitely needs some accessories, he looks so bare.

Head over to Hasbro to order:

Nah Brad. They got it right. The front claws are where they are supposed to be.

Was the monster white in the movie? Don't recall that.

I don't see the red ballsack on the side of its face though.

Meh. NECA could have done a way better job.

I think Mr. D is right, I distinctly remember it had a sort of gorilla walk to it. The arms in the midsection look strange b/c they're folded up...

I agree with Mr. D. This is horrible. The claws are wrong and second, where are it's secondary arms? The "ballsacks" as they are called are also redish color. Horrible design. I hate to be negative on here as that always seems to be the trend, but this is horrible.

THe ballsacks weren't their in the movie anyway it had translucent almost see through skin so against a grey and black backgrounds of NYC it would have looked greyish but standing in the middle of no where it would look like this I thought it had more eyes but it's main body dose remind me alot of a rancors from Star Wars

I think it looks awesome! The front claws may be able to be posed backward? And the extra set of arms are there, but just folded, so maybe they to could be posed? I recall Hasbro saying it has alot of articulation so, its possible. And yeah the color is right, it was a whitish-grey in the film, but the "ballsacks" were definently a red color.

you got to remember all of the "pictures" where fan made sketches of what the monster was suppose to be and the media who saw the movie thought it looked like but that is probably what JJ really looked like

really wanted it to*

Kaname Tousen Are you talking about the "ballsacks" or the claws? Because the ballsacks are definently red. Look at this video of the Cloverfield Monster: http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/5338/120060084 9302wm7.gif They are red for sure, but the video makes his actual body look black, instead of the white look in the rest of the film.

It does look pretty cool, I think it may not be a finished product as seen in the pictures. For a $100 bucks though, no thanks.

I havent seen the movie (but will),this is a cool looking monster and i'd dig having it,but for a hundred bux,it better come to life and actualy attack new yawk...

...if that's a finished product, you'd be fucking nuts to spend 100 dollars on it as it looks like shit...

You're a fuckin' poop head if you spend that much money on this.

The sacks are red and I believe they will be red on the figure along with being cast in clear for the translucent look. The claws are wrong, he is supposed to walk on his knuckles, not sure if that will change.

You know, maybe it's me, but I don't see scrotums everywhere I look the way some folks seem to. Some frogs and other real animals have sacs on their heads that inflate when they breathe, but most people don't look at those and think "Balls!" I guess some folks just see what they want to see...

i think i'll save my money for a more worthwhile figure..

Kaname Tousen

It probably is the monster in it's natural environment: UNDER THE SEA!?!?! OMFG what a concept it comes from the Sea so it might have a hard time breathing above water
