You forgot to mention that the daughter is neither raped nor murdered which negates the entire plot of the movie. Unless they like cut her tits or or something. And this girl looks more like a Phylis Stone rather than a Mari Collingwood. Somewhere, Sandra Peabody is turning in her grave.

Those girls were tortured and brutilized, not to mention the nudity aspect... this girl has mainly been in teeny films so I doubt she will do ALL that. Unless she's really not trying to be typecast

I am definatly giving this movie a chance. I loved the orignal, so I cant wait to see what they do with the remake.

We all know the original was THE best, hands down,I'll see it just to compare. The gripe I have is this girl playing Mari. She doesnt have that innocent look like Sandra did. Sara looks just like another face from the valley. The guy playing Krug this time around isn't convincing either, Plus no one can match David Hess' menacing performance. To me all the actors in the original fit their roles and were'nt just marketable faces and figures.
